Readiness

We take pride that we are a Texas School Ready certified (TSR) Center. Texas School Ready is a comprehensive preschool teacher training program that combines a research-based, state-adopted curriculum with ongoing professional development and progress monitoring tools. Teachers from child care centers, Head Start programs, and public school pre-kindergarten participate in TSR. Throughout the school year, teachers enrolled in TSR are provided tools to help them learn more about the specific instructional needs of the children in their classrooms and how to support children using engaging lessons and activities. The new skills and techniques that teachers learn through TSR positively affect the classroom experience for children at Kinder College Academy. Educators at our center are required to participate in the TSR program which allows them to understand instructional needs of the children in the classrooms and engage them in lessons and activities. It has been proven that teachers participating in TSR Comprehensive are more responsive to the individual needs of the children in their classrooms. They show increase in their use of language-building strategies, including the quality of book reading, and the use of oral language instruction which they pass on to children in their classrooms.

It provides a research based, state adapted curriculum and learning materials to support instruction and create a better learning environment for children.

Our teachers participate in comprehensive teacher training program in critical school readiness areas and techniques delivered through face-to-face and online sessions.

Our teachers are trained in monitoring child’s progress via assessment tools to track progress in critical early learning areas, and tools to help them adjust their lessons to meet children’s individual needs.
