KINDER COLLEGE ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
At KinderCollege we offer year-round Kinder College Enrichment Programs that adds to the daily activity in all age groups. These programs are a stepping stone to Kindergarten and prepares kids to take on challenges and stay ahead of the game.
STEAM Program
At KinderCollege Academy, STEAM is integrated throughout our KinderCollege curriculum.
STEAM is an educational approach that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student’s critical thinking. A toddler experiences STEAM learning through exploration in the classroom and outdoors, by building a curiosity about the natural world and by learning about how things work. At this age children develops skills to start comparing objects by size, practice beginning counting skills, explore building and constructing materials, and use their senses to observe and predict as they are experiencing the world around them.
Tutoring
Learning centers give Kindergarteners the opportunity to test out daily lessons with real-world, hands-on application. We incorporate technology into the repetitive extension of teacher-directed lessons by encouraging our students to play educational games and solve puzzles on the computer and iPad. With technology becoming a main focus in Elementary Schools, your child will develop a sense of comfort and ease with computers at an early age.
Dance Class
You child has the opportunity to register in one of our sponsors dance classes. If your child is interest in learning contact the center during enrollment.
Computer Class
At KinderCollege we understand there are many ways a child can be taught to obtain knowledge. Computer training under supervised coaching is one of them. We have teamed up with ABC Mouse and registered each child at our center 3 years and above with a unique login. We coach a student on various educational programs and its navigation. This allows a student to monitor their progress and also for parents to login at home and view their child’s work.
Yoga
Yoga presented in a child’s language can help counter the strss experienced by little ones living in a hurry-up world. Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness.
In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. Doing yoga, children excercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an close relationship with the natural world that surrounds them.
Leadership
Leadership instills confidence, and helps children solve problems creatively, work in a team, and work collaboratively with others.
Why leadership?
Leadership skills allow children to have control of their lives and the ability to make things happen. Leadership gives children many opportunities to develop responsibility. All children have the potential to develop leadership skills. Leadership development can be a lifelong process. As an early education center, we teach the skills necessary for children to take on leadership roles now and in the future.
Texas Rising Star is a quality rating and improvement system for Texas early childhood programs. We are a 4-star TSR school which is the highest a center can achieve based on its performance. Texas Rising Star provides professional development resources and mentoring to sustain and improve the quality of early childhood environments at TRS certified programs.
